The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® (BCaBA®) certification is designed for individuals at the undergraduate level who specialize in behavior analysis. Professionals holding BCaBA certification offer behavior-analytic services while being supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®). BCaBAs are not permitted to provide behavior-analytic services independently and must work under the supervision of a BCBA. They are authorized to supervise Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) certificants and may also fulfill the duties of an RBT.
You can take the BCaBA certification by choosing one of the available pathways, each of which mandates a degree, behavior-analytic coursework, supervised fieldwork, and successfully passing the BCaBA certification exam.
Pathway 1: Degree From ABAI-Accredited Program
