The Certified Quality Auditor is a professional well-versed in the standards and principles of auditing, along with the auditing techniques encompassing examination, inquiry, assessment, and reporting, aimed at discerning the adequacy and shortcomings of a quality system. This individual analyzes all facets of a quality system, evaluating its level of compliance with the standards of industrial management and quality assessment and control systems.
Exam Requirements:
Eight years of practical experience in one or more domains within the Certified Quality Auditor Body of Knowledge.
Of the eight years, three must be spent in a "Decision-making" role, wherein the individual holds the authority to define, execute, or oversee projects/processes and bears responsibility for their outcomes. This position must be full-time and paid.
Education Required:
Candidates who have attained a degree from a college, university, or technical institution are eligible for waivers from part of the eight-year experience requirement, as outlined below (only one waiver can be claimed):
Diploma from a technical or trade school: One year waived.
Associate degree: Two years waived.
Bachelor's degree: Four years waived.
Master's or doctorate: Five years waived.
