Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI (DP-500) Exam - RETIRED

Professionals planning to take the Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate exam are required to have subject matter expertise to design, create, and deploy enterprise-scale data analytics solutions. You will be required to assist in collecting enterprise-level requirements for data analytics solutions for Azure and Power BI. 

Candidates are required to perform roles that include -

Candidates taking the Azure enterprise data analysts exam perform the roles including -

You need to score 700 (on a scale of 1-1000) to pass the exam.1

The Microsoft DP-500 exam covers the following topics - 

• Domain 1 - Learn the implementation and management of the data analytics environment (25–30%)
• Domain 2 - Learn about querying and transforming data (20–25%)
• Domain 3 - Learn about implementing and managing data models (25–30%)
• Domain 4 - Learn about exploring and visualizing data (20–25%)

• Candidates should reschedule or cancel their exam at least 24 hours before the appointment.
• The exam fee will be forfeited if a candidate reschedules or cancel their exam less than 24 hours before the appointment

Candidates interested in beta exams generally have access to other learning resources or are experienced in the job role, or have access to early releases of the technology. Candidates are advised to refer to peer groups, community resources, and early-adopter articles for supplementary preparation materials.

Exam Rescheduling or cancellation of the appointment should be done through the certification dashboard.

• Third Step - Select the “Cancel/Reschedule”
• Fourth Step - Redirected to the exam delivery provider’s site to cancel or reschedule your exam.

The score for the beta exam is not shared immediately. The exam score is shared about two weeks after the exam becomes available worldwide. Approximately 16 weeks after you take the exam

Retake of the beta exam is not allowed, in case you do not pass the beta exam. Candidates must wait to retake the exam at a regular cost when it is live.

Candidates are not required to retake the exam in its final version.

Candidates taking the DP-500 exam are required to have skills including -

• Advanced Power BI skills like managing data repositories
• Data processing in the cloud and on-premises
• Using Power Query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
• Proficiency in consuming data from Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience querying relational databases
• Analyzing data by using Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
• Visualizing data.

• In case a candidate does not pass the exam for the first time, then the candidate must wait 24 hours before taking the exam again.
• In case a candidate is not able to pass the exam on the second attempt, then the candidate should wait for a minimum of 14 days before retaking the exam next time.
• Candidates can give the exam not more than five times within a period of 12-months. This 12-month period begins from the first attempt.
