Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)


The Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Exam has been developed to measures the skills and ability of the candidate of the concepts  including Cloud concepts, Azure architecture and services and Azure management and governance. Candidates taking the exam should have an understanding of the general technology concepts, including concepts of networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development.  The Microsoft Azure Fundamentals can be used to prepare for other Azure role-based or specialty certifications, but it is not a prerequisite for any of them.


Who should take the Microsoft AZ-900 Exam?

The candidates taking the AZ-900 exam should have foundational knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. The exam is suitable for candidates who are just beginning to work with cloud-based solutions and services or are new to Azure.

  • Prioritize the skills that you should practice by focusing on the content areas where your exam performance was the weakest and in the content areas that have the highest percentage of questions.

  • When you are ready to retake the exam, schedule an appointment as you normally would.

  • Most questions are worth one point, regardless of what you must do to answer the question.
  • If a question is worth more than one point, this information will be stated in the question.
  • There is no penalty for guessing. If you choose an incorrect answer, you simply do not earn the point(s) for that item.
  • No points are deducted for incorrect answers.

The AZ-900 score report provides a numeric score for overall exam performance, pass/fail status, a bar chart showing performance on each skill area assessed on the exam, and details on how to interpret your results and next steps. Using this information, candidates can determine areas of strength and weakness.

Candidate will receive notification of your pass or fail status within a few minutes of completing your exam. In addition, candidate will receive a printed report that provides exam score and feedback on the performance on the skill areas measured. 

The Microsoft Azure Fundamental AZ-900 Certifications does not retire.

A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts from the first attempt. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from the date of the first attempt.

The Microsoft AZ-900 Exam has 40-60 Questions approximately.    

The  AZ-900 Passing score is 700 (on a scale of 1000)

The Microsoft AZ-900 is for 85 mins.

No technical experience, is required to take this certification exam. General IT knowledge or experience is always helpful.  

The content includes updates of the English version of the exam as of October 28, 2022.
