Windows 95 Certification

About Windows 95

Windows 95 is a version of the Microsoft Windows operating system that was released in 1995. It was a significant release as it marked the first version of Windows to feature a fully 32-bit architecture, which brought many new features and improvements over its predecessor, Windows 3.1. Windows 95 was one of the first operating systems to have a graphical user interface (GUI) that closely resembled the Macintosh's, making it more user-friendly for a non-technical audience.

Windows 95 included a number of new features and improvements over its predecessor, Windows 3.1. It introduced the Start menu, which allowed users to quickly access their programs and files, and the Taskbar, which allowed users to easily switch between open programs. It also included support for Plug and Play hardware, which made it easier to install new hardware devices. Additionally, Windows 95 introduced support for long filenames, and support for the new FAT32 file system, which allowed for larger hard drives.

Windows 95 also included a number of new features that were designed to enhance network connectivity. It included support for Internet Explorer, which was a web browser that allowed users to access the Internet, and support for dial-up networking, which allowed users to connect to the Internet using a telephone modem.

Windows 95 was succeeded by Windows 98 and is no longer actively supported by Microsoft.
