winrunner Certification

About winrunner

WinRunner is a functional and regression testing tool developed by Mercury Interactive (now part of Micro Focus). It was designed to automate the testing of GUI-based applications on Windows platforms. WinRunner allows developers and QA engineers to create, maintain and execute test scripts that simulate user interactions with the application under test. It can be used to test the functionality, reliability and performance of the application. WinRunner uses a scripting language called TSL (Test Script Language) to create test scripts.

WinRunner can be used to automate the testing of a wide range of Windows-based applications, including web-based applications, client-server applications, and mainframe terminal emulators. It provides a comprehensive set of test automation features, including support for data-driven testing, advanced reporting, and integration with other testing tools.

It was widely used in the past but in the current scenario it's not as popular as it used to be. With the rise of new technologies, tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium, TestComplete, etc. are more commonly used by developers and testers.
